Hey Silent. I had the same Problem with v2 --> v3.. I deleted the AdminServer.dll File and install then. It works for me But safe the file, if it doesnt help.

Other question: Why all the pings are so high? Normal ping is about 25-30 but now 140 I have no downloads open or something else. All player have this high ping.

About the *.dll files, I don't know why this is happening, but I'll change the way the patches are installed so this won't happen anymore. Will do it tomorrow or the day after. Future patches won't have this problem and maybe I'll integrate an update checker.. If it happens to you then rename the file, apply the patch and rename it back.

 

About the ping, do you mean on Setti servers? That's caused by the hoster..

Since the last patch, (V3 to V4) many problems have been spreading around.

 

1. We had to change a line manually on the rev.ini file and remove the bin folder to get css to open

2. In game, the bullets in magazine get 0 as soon as we hit the R button to reload

3. What is the point of the patch if we have to do things manually?

4. A patch is to fix problems, not create more

 

This patch is catastrophic, people who patch this may not be around here on the forums to even know what they will be doing and never get css to open, this way we will lose many nonsteam players :/

 

Correct me if I am wrong but this is what happened to me.

1) Yes, obvious fail. Is fixed in the current version. People who download it now won't have this problem anymore.

2) Sounds like a server problem not a client one.

3) Like I said, this shouldn't happen and is fixed now.

That's weird... Download the new version (same name), the AdminServer.dll shouldn't cause problems there anymore.

Ok guys the problems have all been sorted out

Patch v3 => v4 (76 MB): (Mediafire) | (Zippyshare) (2013-05-21)

 

I downloaded the following patch which now is updated again due to mistakes happened previously and css opened regularly

@† SILENT SNIPER † The problem has been fixed already

@Mithrandir Download the above patch from v3 to v4 and try again opening css

For the bsppack.dll and other *,dll problems, download this archive, copy it into the hl2.exe folder and execute/extract it.

Then execute the Patch v3-v4 again. It should patch the vpk files then, but I have to test this..
