That's the checksum of the original file, shipped with the release. Did you miss the v1-v2 patch?

No I don't think so.. How could this happen? I have all the patches installed

 

 

 

 

 

I re-install the game and the patches and now it works.

downloaded and installed patch 1 > 2 , version txt says version 2

downloaded patch 2 > 3 , it says it failed to install cause of unknown steamclient.dll version

 

any other solution besides reinstall  game ?

Looks like my Problem with CS:S SteamPipe was just on Windows XP thanks to the person who suggested to upgrade my OS to 7 but I installed Vista LOL.

 

Looks like Windows XP is ending its life!

Hey headHUNTERZ the problem with the unknown AdminServer.dll version. I found a solution. Had the same problem...

I just deleted the Adminserver.dll File and install the lates patch then.

 

Everything works c:

 

Win7 Professional 64bit

Ok, then I set it to be installed if missing

should i start game from revloader.exe or hl2.exe

 

-where to put my cfg file if using revloader (files in cstrike/cfg folder are not recognized when using revloader to start game)

 

-if i use hl2.exe , it says gameinfo.txt not existing in subdirectory hl2 and game won't start.

when i copy it there game becomes messed up

Start it using revloader, it performs additional steps to launch the game, hl2.exe doesn't work.

 

What kind of cfg? I think you can either use the cstrike/cfg/config.cfg or the cstrike/custom/setti/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
