I could play with the latest version(v51) yesterday but today it doesn't work. Just few minutes after launching the game it breaks down. My OS is win7. Running the game as Administrator. Why?

okay well i tried to install the patch but it just said that if could not find haystack.ctx or something like that?

Close your anti-virus and run the patch as administrator. Works fine ;)

I have been trying to updated v49 patch but each time i run the patch, it fails because of a hay stack map (i think). I have turned off my anti-virus and ran the patch as administrator and still no difference... Is this also the reason why I cant play any servers?

P.S. I registered for the site but my email hasn't arrived :S

i can get into some servers but game crashes when i try the usual setti servers

Since the cumulative patch v51 hl.exe is very often has stopped working and since today afternoon i can absoulutely not playing.

SO I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH NEW PATCH !
and that thing´s can´t help for this problem:

Q.: [color=red]When i try to launch game, I get a message that says "hl2.exe has stopped working" & other game crashes
A.: Start the game without internetet connection, click on "find servers" and then connect internet.
Sometimes helps if you delete achievements! Delete those files:
"Counter Strike Source 2010\cstrike\gamestate.txt"
"Counter Strike Source 2010\bin\stats.bin"!
Or your antivirus can cause game crashes, read on Steam Support:

Try to run "Counter Strike Source 2010 windowed.bat" file.
Make sure you installed latest patch, and installed it properly, make sure that antivirus/firewall/other programs doesn't block games/revemu connections to internet.
Try to run patch as Administrator.

So, now is everything work. i dont know what happens, but after 3 or 4 reinstall CS and patch its work :))

Hey, I've done everything according to instructions but the game still crashes from anyone an idea why?
