Hey!
I ran into a problem, it could be that I missed something but I tryed it on 2 different machines.
I downloaded "The Game" from TPB, installed Patch_v16[0.to.16](1.0.0.52) and then Patch_v17[16.to.17](2010-09-12 (1.0.0.52)) and now it seems the server doesnt come online, while it seems to be working fine (console responding), it just seems like the firewall is blocking the server, but ive done the test on 2 machines, myne and the server so that isnt the problem, ive tryed with built in launch options and myne.

when i try to run the game i get the following error:

That's because you have Kaspersky installed, from yesterday it detects "steam.dll" as trojan! It is false positive so add it to trusted, ask them on kaspersky's forum about this! Here you can download it - steam.dll, put it in same folder where hl2.exe is.
Funny thing that if you check file online kaspersky.com/scanforvirus it says that it's clean.

problem resolved but, when I try to join a server, the game crashes...always
it says: hl2 has stopped working -.-
I've windows vista
is it a problem??

You probably have too weak PC, what is your video card?

disable your antivirus, it is prolly blocking all bat files on your PC.

ok it works thanks man u rock n btw does killcam work if its againts bots n the achievements do u get them with bots
