Heh. There are so many different subgenres to heavy metal... You can't say "metal is stupid" and at the same time "people don't know real music these days". It makes you look like you know nothing about music.

I just don't like metal, it has no melody, just a simple repeating beat.

Porov it seems you like the rock of 80's. And also I think you haven't even listened to the links of others, because there+s a lot of metal there.
From the above I didn't like SOAD by Phoenix and GGFH by boobs (the last was really WTF for me ). Billy Idol would be cool if he didn't do it just for the show. He's like some comic character.
