The connection comes thru a nearby university. I live in the northmost location in the map and Espoo is located in southern Finland.
I have to move in a couple of months so I'll have to downgrade a bit.

Does it include your phone calls? It says Mobilfunk in the ISP name so I guess this is your mobile data connection? Is it unlimited or do you have datalimit?

Getting artificially high or low results is not especially difficult. Your ping is 234ms so maybe you were transferring other data on the same connection?

Similarly getting high speed results is easy if you buy a high speed hosting service. Like Setti is.

My recommendation: keep posting real results. Someone else might come here to boast that he is paying even more for even slower mobile connection. But it doesn't make sense to make the connection slow intentionally.

@saatana: that must be some kind of student deal. In romania the speed is about the same I think at universities. 10 years ago I was downloading from univ with a few mb/s, and 10 years I had a connection of about 3 kb/s at home. NO, I'm not joking, 3 kb/s. I was downloadind a song in like 1-2 hours )

That is wrong. At least it's not right.

By comparison, to transfer the contents of a DVD over a modem could take a week or more at a 56 kbit/s modem rate. Simply packing the DVD into an envelope and mailing it could be faster.

Ping, latency and bandwidth are often confusing. Take your time to read the above wiki article about "Online gaming".

Recommendation again: just post the best result you get.

My intention was actually to laugh at myself, its ironical to live in Germany and having to use mobile internet because I can't have broadband.
Btw it could make an interesting statistic if more ppl would post their internet and map it somehow in function of country, price and speed.
