hey guy i'm fed up with this problem i had downloaded my cs:source from this site first it worked perfectly and then when i ran the game second time it says engine error-no permissions to run the game 'cstrike' well i was running it as the admin and i have win xp plzzzz help

Completely remove it. Then re-install.

Did you disable steam and then try it?

Did you disable steam and then try it?

This is actually the problem you are having, if steam is open you wont be able to play, so just close it and done.

if your still having the problem, download the steamclient.dll from the clantagchanger v27 from B00bs release and replace it with the one in your BIN folder located in your CS:S Directory

Ok.. guys i now the solution...
1. Go into steam...
2. Log into ur account (IMPORTANT)
3. Go to the top... into "steam"
4. Click on exit...
5. Restart your lap or comp
6. And then you are going to be ok to play...
NOTE/HINT: U ONLY NEED TO RESTART ONCE AND THEN JUST TURN ON STEA WHEN PLAYIN OTHE GAMES.. AND EXIT WHEN PLAYIN C:SS ORANGE BOX....
