Currently preparing improved CS:S release, new CS:GO release & improved patcher for both games. Issues about masterserver are being addressed (with the possibility of CS:S and CS:GO integration).

Nowadays I only play on LAN events, it's pretty funny. We play only one time per week, but then min. 5 hours.

Maybe we should do this here too. If we find a date/time that fits for (almost) everyone here, then we could play some nice rounds once a week! 

So I was bored and came to the "old" setti site to see what's going on, ofc it's a ghost town. So I read some recent posts and funny thing ppl still think they can bring setti back from the abyss. Let me tell how this came to be (my point of view anyway):

I started playing here when setti was about 2 or 3 years old. It was great, server was full 20/7, players had great sense of humor and the gameplay was challenging. This was about 7 years ago and even at that time you could sense things were going to shit. You see the server was infected with a disease called Perplexer. It was almost always present so the server barely got any time to heal. The players fought it all the time but the disease had great power and little could be done. So they asked setti's keepers Ghost and k1ller for help. They didn't listen or didn't care. Years past and in one moment in time k1ller and Ghost acknowledged the players and decided to cure the server of the disease. Players rejoiced it was a good time to play on setti. However the disease begged for mercy. It begged k1ller and Ghost for return of its power and in return it promised the control of the server and protection from viruses (cheaters). In their ignorance, pride and confidence in their power they let the disease back in. Most of the players gave in and decided to enjoy the game and the server's community. They did their best to ignore the disease but over time it consumed them. They started to fight it and in the process they were slowly losing the desire to play the game. So one by one they started to leave the server. But the community was huge and strong and would have lasted several years more had it not been for the Update. It had cut off most of the strong players from the server. Setti tried to keep up but the update was too fast. A lot of players grew out of the habit of playing on setti and didn't see the point since the disease was still present. When setti finally caught up it was a little too late. Most of the old players left but new players took their place. Unfortunately these were a bunch of cocky little bitches (fortunately not all). At around the same time setti expanded. The last nail in the coffin. An already shattered community was spread thin. And slowly it didn't feel like a community anymore. As if this wasn't enough new players started throwing out crazy suggestions and to all our surprise the keepers took them into account. And thus setti slowly faded away until only de_dust2  was still populated. Regardless of the old players' warnings the keepers didn't nothing (they had a new toy which produced a lot of income). Playing one map over and over again drove players crazy and with the disease still present and running wild even the new players started to leave. At the end there was nothing more to control so even the disease moved on. What it left behind was but a dead husk.

A little bedtime story for ya folks.

the topic you are refering me to, is to incentivate the current admins to make reports. the only admins who don't have to report are full admins, all the others should always report after banning someone. 

that, unfortunately, is not the case, so every admin is dishing out bans like there's no tomorrow, and reporting once on a blue moon when they wake up too drunk and mistakenly report it here.

the fact that jax and glory had already banned him and made no report serves to prove that they don't really care about the servers being clean or not, they just care about it being clean for them when they play. the fact that sharpshooter reported was good, because he acknowledges the need of such posts, although IF he is doing the report, he should include the ticks, being a wallhack report. I ignored this and downloaded and watched the whole demo nevertheless, and didn't find conclusive proof of cheats.

the way to report cheaters is the same it always was, so if you are a player or an admin who spotted or banned a cheater, this is how to do it:

For ban requests post this information:
1) Player name
2) Reason why he should be banned
3) Link to a demo (http://css.setti.info/setti/demos/)
4) Approximate time when cheat can be seen
5) Player's SteamID ("status" command in console when connected to server)

To further explain how to fill the appropriate fields i will try to elaborate on each one.

1) the name the cheater used at time of ban, followed by other names he might have used during that round or other rounds

2) the cheat he was banned for, or caught using

3) the link to the sourcetv demo hosted here at setti (any other will be ignored unless the setti one does not exist for some weird reason, which has happened before)

4) this doesnt mean "during the night", or "11AM", but the time INSIDE the demo, the most convenient one is tick, which you can see by pressing SHIFT+F2, but you can also say the round number if it was a general cheat. For wallhack reports tick is required.

5) the players steam id can be found by typing "status" on console, or directly on sourcebans if he was banned, so if you just banned him you can go take the steamid from sourcebans, if you just spotted and want to report, you have to use status.

Plus, this Glory nab and Jax nab should report, instead of doing stupid inconclusive bans to players that will return every time after the ban period. And when you report wallhack give ticks.

Both weapons are ingame for the noobs. It's the COD principle: Even noobs should have fun/a chance to beat better players.

I think the high price for both weapons justifies their existence (and of course the knowing that you are using a noob weapon).

Well i dont know him, But i dont think this is a reason to ban. The Swatika has nothing to do with Hitler and the Nazis (not even with Nazi Zombies!) The only thing that connects them is the abuse of the symbol by Hitler. Its origin is indian and stands for luck and was discovered at places from 3000 years B.C.
