Ya it doesn't accept the *. I think I got it, I just added it this way, banip 12.34 (no *s) and in the list it came up as 12.34.0.0.

First : no one can change Steamid even is using Non steam game.
Second : you can try this command in server console sm_addban xxx.xxx.0.0 where xxx is beginning of cheaters IP

First of all, thank you b00bs for making this wonderful release. However I have a problem. It's probably because of my stupidity and/or lack of research (trust me, I did some), but I don't know how to start a dedicated server, nor how to play on it.
I followed all the instructions from your first post, but I can't get it to work.

Q.: How to start Dedicated Server(SRCDS) + play game from same PC?
A.: You can't play game and run dedicated server from same folder(revemu limitation), just copy game to another folder and run dedicated server from there!
And you must edit rev.ini for dedicated server to work properly, leave everything at default and change only "#ClientDLL=" to "ClientDLL=" , then you will see server in "LAN" tab and will be able to add your server to Setti serverslist -> http://css.setti.info/#addserver .
Server starts with "srcds_console.bat" or "srcds.exe"
Server configuration is in this file -> "\cstrike\cfg\server.cfg"
If you want to host server for internet -> search google for guide!

Things I've done
- I copied the game to another folder
- I edited the rev.ini file
- I ran scrds_console.bat and apparently everything went well ( last two lines in the console were "Connection to steam servers successful" and "VAC secure mode is activated")
- I tweaked the server.cfg to my personal preferences

Unsure about
- In the SRCDS console this is written : cminterface.cpp (471) : Assertion failed: 0 == netadrCM.GetPort<> Could that be causing some problems ?

Problem I have
- After starting the game, I get this error : VSteam is not running. RevEmu requires VSteam to be running if you aren't hosting a dedicated server!

I have no idea why, but recently (as in an hour or 2 ago) i would try and play CSS, it loaded the splash screen, but then it would crash and say hl2.exe has stopped responding. Any ideas as to why that would happen?

my question is = all the servers appear in the serverlist are non-steam,are'nt they?
= all the servers we can login and play are non-steam.isn't it?

Ive got setti css version 27. were can i find patch 28, 29, 30, etc.? i cant find all of them on the front page and i looked through the past pages of the forums and i couldnt seem to locate them.

got a problem when i'm connecting to some servers, it says "the server enforcing consistency for this file: materials\ particle\ particle_somkegrenade1.vmt",and that makes me unable to connect to several servers. how do i fix this problem?

A.
You can enable it ( if it disable ) from Options > Advanced and mark (~).
And write this button (~) for show it(Console), and write: name "Your Name".

hey, TS, when I download the parts from MediaFire, for Part 1 & 7, its says,

CRC failed in Counter.Strike.Source.2010.Orange.Box.NoSteam.[Setti]\Counter.Strike.Source.2010.Orange.Box.NoSteam.[Setti].exe'. File is broken.

This shows up when I test the archive for errors. also happen in part 7. parts 2-6 are working fine.

downloaded 1 & 7 for the 5th time and I always get it? suggestions?

special symbols is working only on STEAM .few symbols also working on Non Steam .

try [color="#FF0000"]"über Ņõõß[color="#FF0000"]" and not just über Ņõõß.
