Hello! I have installed the game and all the patch, but when i try to connect a server, i can't do it because it appears a message that says: "the server you are trying to connect to is running a newer version of the game".

And when i write in the console of the game "version":

Protocol version 16
Exe version 1.0.0.62 (cstrike)
Exe build: 09:51:59 Jun 21 2011 (4608) (240)



What can i do? Thank you very much and I'm sorry for my English because I'm from Spain.

well steam realesed again a new update so u just can play on pub2 as far as i know because thats the only one server from which i know thats after the first new update for non-steam.

Then...what i have to do? Because i didn't understand what you want to tell me to i do...

try reinstalling the game... i didnt try it so dont know if it helps much... <_<

Ok so this is my report :
Yesterday there was a new update for the Source games, I have updated my Source games with Steam patch and so, my Counter-Strike: Source version became :
Exe version 1.0.0.63 (cstrike)
Exe build: 13:36:04 Jun 27 2011 (4608) (240)
Now, I wanted to try this version (I got it running on Steam with a client patch), I choosed this server with the same version from Setti list 109.109.210.21:27015 I connected without any errors (No STEAM validation rejected no nothing) which means that this version may have no problem with that error, I said MAY because the server owner may have used the non-steam patch to disable this error.

as far as i know u only can play on setti pub2 or wait until a new update will be realesed

this is getting really boring... i want to play on hellz.fr server and i cant... when i have v.36 it say the server has updated and when i have v.37 it cant connect (connection failed)... WTF? :facepalm: really, is it that hard to make a patch that works?...

i checked and that server is steam-only. it will not even work for my no-steam, so try to play on different server till owners patch it.

Reduced CPU usage for idle servers


Post here if you have working "CS:S v38" with Windows 7 64bit OS.

PS:
Name changing now works only in rev.ini file, edit "PlayerName=css.setti.info"!
Because namechanger plugin doesnt work with game anymore.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit and v63 works fine. I haven't tried your patch yet though.
